Novelio® Glass Fiber Wallcovering is a high-performance product which features very easy installation. Installers are usually shocked at how lightweight the product is, and how strong and effortless the material is to work with. By following these instructions, you should have a similar experience.
IMPORTANT NOTE*
Novelio® When applying wallcovering the temperature in the room must not be below 8°C for proper application.
STEP 1
Ensure the wall is free of dust, dirt and grease. It must be dry and smooth. Decoveil is a perfect product to apply to an imperfect wall first to cover all imperfections and start with an ideal surface to mount performance wallcovering over.
STEP 2
Measure from one side of the wall and mark the distance of your first strip of wallcovering so you know what area to coat with glue. If you cover too much surface area with glue it may dry before you can apply the next strip of wallcovering.
STEP 3
Apply a sufficient layer of vinyl glue on the first area of wall with a roller (200 g/m², +/- 10 %). Apply extra glue with a brush in corners and along the edges of the surface to ensure a reliable and long term adhesion.
STEP 4
Cut a strip of wallcovering about 5 to 10 cm longer than the height of the wall so there is an overlap at the floor and ceiling. Apply the strip to the wall vertically using a plumbline and smooth it with a clean soft roller or plastic spatula.
STEP 5
Repeat steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 when you apply the next strip to the edge of the previous one and check proper alignment. You can also overlap strips of wallcovering and cut the top layer and remove it leaving an invisible overlap.
STEP 6
Trim excess material from the top and bottom of each strip of wallcovering with a knife along a straight edge guide. When complete you can then you can wipe down the wallcovering to remove any excess glue or residue.

Novelio® Glass fiber wallcoverings are carefully inspected before shipping. However, you should still inspect your material prior to application. If you have any material that has an imperfection, or discover an issue during installation, please stop hanging immediately and contact our custom service team.
